BOOM!

Is it a Bonnie Tyler song that goes, "I'm living in a powder keg and giving off sparks"? I have so many irons in the fire, a few of them have rolled out of the fire and set resting things a blaze! If you don't see me for a while, it's because I'm nervously looking for a fire extinguisher under piles of blue and white porcelain and designer fabric.

While I'm working, I had to share with you some inspiration from Jeffrey Bilhuber that I think you'll be seeing a version of very soon in my little guest room/television/reading room. When you live in such a small space (a little over 850 square feet) all of the spaces have to really do double duty. Sometimes triple duty. I must have come up with 40 different plans for this space before deciding on this one. Now it's all about getting it done!

Wish me luck - ponder and enjoy the inspiration!

I love it- so, I have two stories for you, one, did you know that Jeffrey was launched into society by none other than Count Hubert de Givenchy? They met at the Hotel Carlyle. Similar to how the society garden designer, Madison Cox, was sponsored by Pierre Berge'...

Two, when I was a very young man (17) I left home and went to live in Atlanta, where I met a very fashion forward guy named J. Preston Myers (we attended design school together) - well Jimmy bought sheets in a pattern similar to what Billy Baldwin used for Babe Paley at the Saint Regis and did up his studio apartment in them, the walls, the bed, EVERYTHING! It was beyond chic and he kept the lighting indirect and low, so it seemed larger and he always had the AC going so it was nice and cool and dark in there- so fabulous!
